Good Things Come in Small Packages

Sometimes, a little retail therapy is all you need!

I was having one of those weeks where everything was stressful and everything seemed to be going wrong.  Then today, I woke up and the sun was shining, the weather was amazing, and everything seemed to get better from there!  I have a semi-formal event that I am attending this weekend, so I thought I would take a look at TJ Maxx for some shoes before class this afternoon.  I didn’t find any shoes, but I DID find something better!

I have been wanting a ring with a bow on it for probably about 2 years now.  I found one that I really liked, but it turned out to be much more expensive than I wanted to (or could) spend.  It was around $300, which was just not what I was looking for.  Granted, it was white gold and diamond, so it was worth the money.  But alas, a full time student just can’t have everything.  So I have searched, sometimes actively, sometimes more passively, since then for just the perfect one.  A few months ago, I saw a Juicy Couture one on Pinterest that I basically fell in love with.  After stalking it only to find that it was no longer in stock or available, I was so disappointed.

Today, when I walked into TJ Maxx, I had no idea that it would be waiting for me in the jewelry case!  I was absolutely thrilled to have found it so unexpectedly.  I asked the salesperson to try it on, and although it was a bit snug for my ring finger, it fit my pinky perfectly!  So… I asked how much it was, and, can you believe it???  It was only $19.99!!!  My day was officially made!

So, without further ado, please allow me to introduce you to my new favorite thing!

Even the box is pretty!

So pretty!

As it turns out, the Juicy Couture Wishes Pave Ring can be found online in a couple of locations, though it seems to currently be out of stock where I’ve seen it.  If you’re interested, you can find more information (and a clearer photo!) here.

Have you recently participated in some retail therapy and made a purchase that you are totally happy with?  Please feel free to share in the comments!

Favorite Shoes <3

While I wish that I had a more up-class style when it comes to everyday footwear, the fact is that I am still going to school and I have to walk… a lot.  I need something that’s comfy and durable, and matches most everything.

A few years ago, I bought my first pair of Coach sneakers, and I was immediately in love!  They are super comfortable, they’re stylish, and they’re pretty durable.  Oh, and did I mention they’re COACH??  In fact, I liked them SO much that when they finally wore out, I bought another pair just like them!  In the meantime, I had a friend who had found the same style but in denim, and I have been looking for them ever since.  I wasn’t able to find them until last week!  The Coach Factory store had an online sale (they don’t do them all that often, but there’s one going on now!) and I happened to see them!  I was thrilled!!!  Not only did I finally find them, but they were on sale so that even with shipping, I was able to get them for about $30 less than I spent on my black ones!!!  *Happy dance*

So… here are my new super cute Coach sneakers!

Fresh out of the box!

Love the denim!

Do you have a favorite go-to pair of shoes that you just love?  Please tell me about them in the comments!

The Perfect Heels

Ever since I read Lauren Conrad’s book Style, I have been obsessed with her “perfect” black pumps.  As far as I can tell, they are the best pair of every-occasion heels I have ever seen.  I would have agreed that they’re perfect… except the price.  I refuse to even go try them on because if they fit and were as comfortable as LC claims, I’d be seriously tempted to spend the nearly $800 to make them mine.

Christian Louboutin’s Bibi Black Suede Pumps

You can find more info at Christian Louboutin’s site here.  What, you already have black heels you love? Oh don’t worry.  They come in tons of colors and you don’t have to have suede.

Of course, in my endless search to find these on sale (it’s been unsuccessful so far), I’ve become obsessed with not only these, but Louboutins in general.  That man is a genius!  There are definitely some styles that are totally over the top, but there are tons that I adore.  I made an entire board for “Loubis” on Pinterest, in fact, so that I could enjoy their spendor all the time.  Here are just a few examples…

Louboutin wedding shoes?!? YES PLEASE!  They are so elegant and pretty! If I spend less on the dress, does that mean I can have these?

Not my usual style, but I like them!  The color is awesome and the cris-cross design is captivating.

I can’t imagine spending nearly $800 on any pair of shoes, and certainly not any I couldn’t wear EVERY day.  But these are just so pretty!  I love that they’re lavender!

Also part of the logo for the TV show Harry’s Law, these are amazing.  The fact that the peep toe is RED is so sexy!  Can you say “party time?”

Of course, these are only a few of my favorites.  If you have any Loubis you love, please post a comment and let me know!  I’m always anxious to see more!  If you’ve ever owned a pair, please tell me they’re horrible so I’m no longer tempted! 😉  Hahaha… I probably won’t believe you anyway, so please feel free to rate them honestly!

Summer Styles

This summer, I’ve tried a few new things style-wise.  Here are a few of my favorite things from this summer so far…

Nails:

Pure Ice: New Lilac

LOVE this! The perfect blend of fun, shimmer, and girliness!  It’s probably also a great springtime color, but when paired with a good summer tan, it’s great!

MAC Ocean Dip

Thanks to Amanda, I discovered this awesome color!  I got it as a birthday gift from my brother, and I LOVE it!  It’s the perfect summer toenail color!

OPI It’s All Greek to Me

I ran across this while at Ulta the other day and fell in love!  At the time, I couldn’t justify the $8 because I was buying a ton of other stuff and I have SO many different pink polishes already.  BUT… I’m still considering going back for this one!  It’s a great shade and the name almost sells it alone 🙂

Accessorize:

LOFT Women’s Soft Silver Ribbon and Gem Chain Bracelet

It’s a bit difficult to see in this photo, so I may try to take one that’s better at showing the detail.  I managed to find this on sale for 40% off, and I adore it!  I love the contrast between the chain and the rhinestones and ribbon.  Plus, the gems are extra sparkly.  The bracelet is big enough to make a statement, but delicate enough to still be feminine and doesn’t look overdone on my relatively small wrists.  In addition, the clasp is big enough that I can hook it myself!

Coach Flip Flops, Cosmetics Bag, and Purse

Sometimes, I feel so spoiled! The flip flops and the purse were awesome sale deals at the Coach Factory store, and the cosmetics bag was an fabulous birthday gift from my stylish “sister” Amanda.  I love how the inside of the purse is that beautiful purple color, it just makes it even more fun!  It’s relatively tiny for my usual purse size, but it works great for going out because it’s light, easy to keep track of, and fits the absolute necessities.  Plus, it’s champagne AND it’s sparkly, so that’s about as good as it gets!  The flip flops are great because they’re versatile.  They can be worn casually, but they can also be dressed up because A) they’re Coach and B) they’re shiny 🙂  The makeup bag is, let’s face it, just adorable!  (It’s functional and practical, too, but that’s beside the point!)

Dolce and Gabanna Sunglasses

Of all my summer style purchases, these are by far my favorite!  I am absolutely in love with these sunglasses!  They’re classy, fun, and make me feel like a movie star every time I wear them.  (Plus, they came with a super cute case!) L-O-V-E, LOVE them!

What are some of your favorite summer trends this year?  I’d love to hear about them!
