Friday Favorites

Welcome to another edition of Friday Favorites!  Today, I am celebrating the defeat of my third final of the semester!  Only one more exam and 1L Hell is over!

The Avengers! I got to see this with a group of friends after our final tday. BEST MOVIE EVER! Maybe that’s a tiny exageration, but honestly not by much! I loved every minute of it, and it was the perfect way to de-stress after a very long week!

I wasn’t able to find my usual Starbucks energy drinks at the store we went to this week, so I decided to give this a try instead. I was beyond surprised to find that I actually like this BETTER than the doubleshot ones! DELISH! Here’s to enabling the unhealthy caffiene addiction that comes with law school!

I had my fiance draw this on with a sharpie as a practice run to see how I liked it before I decide on a permanent tattoo. I’m still undecided, but I currently LOVE it. I am seriously struggling with the concept of a permanent mark, but I adore the dsign and the placement, and I think it looks particularly cute with skinny jeans and flats. The design symbolized Faith (the cross), Hope (the anchor) and Love (the heart) from 1 Corinthians 13.

Chipper Jones and his walk-ff home run against the Phillies! Basically, so many of my favorite things! Chipper Jones, the Braves, the Phillies losing… Yup 🙂

My new favorite accessory combo! Both are LC from Kohls, and I just LOOOOOVE them!

THIS is the new Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino®. Thank you Starbucks, for releasing this bad boy during finals to help me survive!!!
An indulgent blend of rich mocha sauce, vanilla syrup, Frappuccino® chips, our signature Frappuccino® Roast coffee and fresh milk blended with ice, topped with delicious chocolaty whipped cream and a chocolate cookie crumble topping.
ALSO… Starbucks has Frappuccino Happy Hour May 4-13 from 3pm-5pm… WOO HOO! (oh look, more caffiene addiction enabling!)

I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s edition of Friday Favorites!!!  I know I had fun putting it together.  It’s nice to have a reminder of all the good things in life, especially during particularly stressful times!

Please feel free to comment, especially your thoughts on my tattoo idea! 🙂

XOXO

Four Year Anniversary

Today marks not just free slurpee day (haha, 7/11 is so clever!), but my fiance’s and my four year anniversary! I am so thankful to have spent the last four years with such a wonderful man who makes me a better, happier person.

In light of this, I wanted to share a Bible verse that has always meant quite a lot to me and captures the spirit of love.  Hope you enjoy!

1 Corinthians 13

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.   And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.   If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.   It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.   Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends.   As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.   For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.   When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.   When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.   Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
